HERMANSVILLE — Gladstone High School sophomore Jake Strasler earned top honors in the Fourth Annual Hermansville Hustle five-kilometer run Saturday, covering the 3.1-mile course in 20 minutes, 50 seconds.

He was followed by women’s champion Kristi Olson (21:58), Alan Jarvie of Rudyard (22:53) and Isaac Olson (23:16).

Amy Burton was women’s runner-up at 30;26, with Ashtyn Smith third (31:02).

More than 50 participants from age 8-71 attended the event, which served as the main fundraiser for the North Central Chapter of the National Honor Society, and was held in memory of Sheila Sanville.
