Thank you for the kindness
This week’s bouquets go to:
From Dan Young, Vicki McGaffigan and Gerry Nelson, Escanaba
This past Monday we held a peace rally in support of Ukraine. Despite the weather, which ranged from a cold rain to a wet snow, it was a very rewarding experience. Many drivers and truckers honked and waved, showing their support. During the rally people expressed their gratitude by generously donating. We experienced the kindness of a young woman that handed out Yooper bars to the rally participants. An umbrella and a cash donation for the refugees was gifted by a gentleman stopped in traffic. The umbrella was the same blue as the Ukrainian flag and still had the price tag on it. A 97-year old supporter and lifetime activist who wanted to participate but wasn’t able to, stopped by with a friend and some warm food to show appreciation for the rally. We would like to express our gratitude for the kindness that was shown to us by these individuals and to all of you that are showing support for the people of Ukraine.
