ESCANABA — The Northern Lights YMCA has promoted Hadele Peacock to director of the Delta Center in Escanaba, recognizing her 23 years of service.

In her new role, Peacock will oversee staff management and development, facility operations, membership services, marketing and community partnerships, the YMCA states in a news release. She will also play a role in fundraising efforts, strategic planning and program growth to ensure the YMCA continues to serve the community effectively.

Peacock will continue as membership and marketing director as well, having formed relationships with the greater community, from longstanding members to corporate partners and service organizations.

The YMCA is making these organizational changes to better position the staff for an upcoming Capital Campaign to build a new pool for the Delta community, the news release stated.

“Hadele’s long-standing commitment and leadership make her the ideal choice for this position,” said Jonathan Ringel, Northern Lights YMCA executive director. “Her passion for the YMCA’s mission and her dedication to the community are unparalleled.”

Peacock joined the YMCA 23 years ago and has been instrumental in assisting with fundraising, managing budgets and strengthening relationships with members and local leaders. In her new role, she will continue to drive innovation and excellence in all aspects of the Delta Center’s operations.
