Virus death reported in Delta County
ESCANABA — Delta County has recorded another coronavirus-related death, its 94th linked to outbreak, according to local health officials.
The Public Health of Delta and Menominee Counties website Wednesday also showed a new confirmed COVID-19 positive in Delta County and one probable case in Menominee County.
As of Wednesday, Delta County has had 3,349 confirmed positives, 718 probable cases and 94 deaths, according to PHDMC. Menominee County had 1,796 confirmed positives, 330 probable and 40 deaths. The deaths included confirmed and probable.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ coronavirus website Wednesday listed nine more confirmed COVID-19 positives in the Upper Peninsula: four in Chippewa County, two each in Delta and Ontonagon counties and one in Schoolcraft County.
Using only the state’s figures, the Upper Peninsula as of Wednesday has had 20,040 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 436 deaths.
Across the U.P., the MDHHS data site Wednesday had Keweenaw County at 142 confirmed cases and 32 probable, and one confirmed death and one probable death; Luce County, 226 confirmed cases and 254 probable, four confirmed deaths and one probable death; Alger County, 321 confirmed, 195 probable and three deaths, four probable; Schoolcraft County, 354 confirmed cases and 83 probable, four deaths and one probable; Ontonagon County, 421 confirmed, 61 probable and 20 deaths, one probable; Mackinac
