Saint Ignace man arrested for child sexually abusive material

Jaxon Massaway, 19, of Saint Ignance was recently arrested for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

MACKINAC COUNTY — A 19-year-old Saint Ignance man was recently arrested for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

Jaxon Massaway was arraigned in the 92nd District Court of Mackinac County on Tuesday after being charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

If convicted, Massaway faces up to ten years in prison for each count of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and up to ten years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.

The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force announced the arrest of Massaway following an investigation which was initiated when investigators learned he was receiving child sexually abusive material online. A search of his residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
