Two are arraigned in shooting incident

INWOOD TOWNSHIP — Two residents of the Manistique area were recently arraigned on charges related to a shooting in Inwood Township.

Trevor Lee Gault, 33, was arraigned at the 93rd District Court Monday on charges of assault with intent to murder and felony firearms. Bond for Gault was set at $5 million cash.

Alyssa Jean Arnold, 20 — Gault’s girlfriend — was arraigned at the 93rd District Court the same day. She was charged with harboring a fugitive, and her bond was set at $500,000.

The shooting took place on the evening of June 17 and resulted in a Manistique resident being critically injured. On June 19, the Michigan State Police Gladstone Post and Manistique Outpost were seeking the whereabouts of Gault and Arnold. The following day, they were taken into custody without incident.

The Michigan State Police is still actively seeking information related to its investigation of the shooting. Those with information that could be helpful are asked to contact Detective Sergeant Hauswirth at the Gladstone Post by calling 906-428-4411.
