National Walleye Tour coming to Bay de Noc

By Liam Houston 2 min read

GLADSTONE -- The 2026 Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's National Walleye Tour (NWT) is coming to Delta County June 18 to 19.

The NWT -- the premier professional Walleye tournament circuit in North America -- will be holding the next in a series of four tournaments on Bay de Noc. The tournament will launch from North Shore Boat Launch beginning at approximately 7 a.m. on both days with public weigh-ins held at Van Cleve Park in Gladstone starting at 3 p.m.

The Delta County Chamber of Commerce has put out a notice to the public and local businesses that the NWT will bring many top anglers, their families, support crews and fans to Delta County to compete.

Many anglers will arrive in the area in the coming days -- if they did not already arrive over the weekend -- to begin pre-fishing and prepare for the tournament. The Chamber of Commerce has stated that roughly 250 anglers are expected to compete in this tournament.

Bay de Noc is the third stop on the NWT tour. The competition began on Lake Erie in April, in Monroe, Michigan. The second stop of the tour was on Lake Oahe in late May, in Mobridge, South Dakota. The competition will continue to the Bay of Green Bay, in Oconto, Wisconsin on July 30 to 31. The competition will conclude with a championship, held in Garrison North Dakota, on August 27-29. The Angler of the Year will be awarded at the conclusion of this championship.
