The Island Resort and Casino will officially close at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 21 through April 6.
Community banks temporarily suspend lobby traffic
Upper Peninsula State Bank and First Bank – Upper Michigan are temporarily suspending lobby traffic effective today as a precautionary measure to help reduce the risk associated with the coronavirus.
“In order to limit non-essential personal interactions, we will be temporarily suspending lobby traffic. We are monitoring the situation closely and will inform our customers when our lobbies re-open. Our drive-thru windows will remain open, so during this time, we ask you to please conduct your banking transactions there. If you have banking needs that cannot be completed through the drive-thru window, please let the representative at the drive-thru know or call our branches. In addition to drive-thrus, our ATMs and night deposits will remain open at all locations, and we encourage you to use online and mobile banking services,” the banks stated in a press release. Health department closure
In an effort to reduce and prevent the spread of COVID-19, Public Health, Delta & Menominee Counties is now limiting available services. Beginning today through Sunday, April 5 at 11:59 p.m, offices in both Delta and Menominee counties will be closed to the public. Walk-ins will not be permitted at this time. Limited services will be available by appointment only. Delta County residents should call 906-786-4111 to request an appointment, while Menominee County residents should call 906-863-4451.
Salvation Army of Escanaba
The Salvation Army of Escanaba will be halting Sunday worship until after March 31. However, this does not mean emergency services have been suspended. Offices are still open to the public as usual, with proper restrictions in place, according to CDC guidelines.
HATI homeless shelter is still operating
Pantry is still open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday at noon
