Courtesy photo

The Dewdrop Family Restaurant presented a check to the Gladstone Public Safety K9 Unit from a fundraising event held on July 28 in the amount of $7,071.44. The Dewdrop intends to raise money for the K9 Unit annually and the donation was the largest the restaurant has raised to date. Over the four years the restaurant has been open, even with two years under the cloud of the pandemic, the restaurant has been able to raise nearly $25,000 for Delta County causes, most of which are in the city of Gladstone. Shown from left to right are Sammi Grzybowski, K9 Bico, Officer Dylan Enright Nadeau, Dewdrop owner Amanda Phillips, Dave Johnson and Dawn Harper.
