GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Senior Citizens Non-Profit Corporation was recently awarded a $5,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Delta County. The grant was provided to assist the Senior Citizens NP Corp. with the $10,832 cost to replace the rooftop furnace air exchange unit which had failed in March and needed to be replaced quickly. The GSCNP Corporation’s mission for over 40 years has been to maintain the Gladstone Senior Center building in order to provide services and activities for its local and surrounding senior citizens. It does so through its annual membership dues of $10 per year, fundraising, and donations. COVID-19 has cancelled fundraisers held at the center since March 2020, which has affected its net profits. The local Community Foundation of Delta County recognized the importance of the Center’s presence in the community that houses the CAA meals-on-wheels program for upwards of 300 meals per day, and also provides a safe, social environment for senior services and activities.

Starting at $3.50/week.
