Participation sought in community survey

MARQUETTE — Upper Peninsula Communities That Care (UP CTC) works to lower local rates of youth substance use, depression, and more. They are asking for community feedback with a brief, seven-question online survey. The survey is open to parents, professionals, youth, and other community members in the UP. You can find it at by visiting www.upctc.com and clicking “Take Our Survey.”

“We’re going to use these results to help us with recruitment, regional planning, and other prevention efforts,” said Paige Reinhart-Anez, SUD prevention services coordinator. “The more input we can get, the better. We’re hoping that people will not only take the survey, but also share it with friends and family.”

Communities That Care (CTC) is an evidence-based coalition model, which means multiple studies have shown that it has a measurable, positive impact on youth in communities that have CTCs. Short-term, CTC helps prevent risky behavior in middle and high schoolers. Long-term, it helps youth grow into healthier adults, resulting in stable families, improved local workforce, and less strain on taxpayer-funded agencies.
