The Upper Peninsula Military Museum recently received a $10,000 donation from the Daniel J. Kobasic Foundation. Krystal Kobasic, co-director of the Foundation and youngest daughter to Daniel Kobasic, presented the check to Museum Curator Ann Jousma Miller and Upper Peninsula State Fair Building and Grounds Committee Member Skip Dufour. The donation will help alleviate costs for the new U.P. Military Museum that includes an exhibit dedicated to the Upper Peninsula Honor Flight Legacy.“We are so pleased to receive this generous donation in recognition of the men and women of the Upper Peninsula who have served, and we can’t wait to open this exhibit to the public,” Jousma Miller said. The Grand Opening for the U.P. Military Museum will take place on July 1, in addition to the Delta Chamber Centennial Celebration at the new Commerce Center Building located on 1001 N. Lincoln Road.
