ESCANABA — The Delta County Veteran Council will hold memorial services on Memorial Day, May 31. The veterans council along with Amvets post 123, Escanaba, will start at Holy Cross Cemetery at 9 a.m. We then have a service at Lakeview cemetery at 9:30 a.m,, the Veteran Memorial in Ludington Park for 10 a.m. followed by a service on the park bridge for the laying of the wreath for soldiers and sailors lost at sea. The service at 11 a.m. at Garden of Rest Cemetery will have seating for all those attend. Craig Woerpel, will be the master of ceremony. Laura Sliva will guest singer of the National Anthem. Senior Chief Dan Lanfield, retired USCG, will be the speaker.
