ESCANABA — Homeless people wishing to stay at the shelter must first go to The Salvation Army and register for the program. The Salvation Army is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Do not just show up at the homeless shelter expecting to be admitted. Volunteers are greatly needed to help staff the three nightly shifts: 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m. to 3 a.m., and 3 to 8 a.m. For more information about volunteering, call Lisa at 420-1311.
