Snow plowing permits required
GLADSTONE — The Hiawatha National Forest would like to remind recreational residences holders and private land cabin inholding that snow plowing permits are available and necessary during the winter season on the Forest.
“Road use permits are required for certain activities on National Forest System roads; including hauling gravel, plowing snow to personal cabins or moving timber for instance,” said Cid Morgan, Hiawatha Forest supervisor. “Obtaining a permit is easy but helps the Hiawatha National Forest ensure safety with the numerous uses that occur, especially during winter on Forest roads and helps to limit potential resource damage.”
