EMP Supports Big Brothers/Big Sisters

ESCANABA — EMP has announced its community partnership and financial support for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area (BBBS). According to Paul Harvey, vice president of EMP, “As a company, we’re committed to do our part to positively impact lives of Delta County youth. Over many years, EMP employees have inspired confidence, competence, and caring to the mission of BBBS. That same support continues and is needed even more so in today’s environment.”

Tanya Ettenhofer, executive director of BBBS, accepts the “Champion of Potential” partnership — a $5,000 donation from EMP. According to Ettenhoffer, “Support from community leaders and business partners like EMP are the cornerstone to maintain and grow our community and school-based mentoring programs. We are most appreciative to everyone at EMP for their continued generosity.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters is always in need of volunteers to act as Big Brothers or Big Sisters, as volunteers at fund-raising events, and as members of its Board of Directors. For more information about the program, call 906-789-0060.
