ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court on unrelated charges.

Angela Loraine Gutzman-Guerrero, 25, of 1615 N. Lincoln Road, Escanaba, pleaded guilty to three counts of controlled substance — delivery/manufacture — meth. She was sentenced to a minimum of three years and a maximum of 20 years in prison, and was given credit for 173 days served. Gutzman-Guerrero was ordered to pay $198 in fines and costs.

Lee Edward Starnes, 54, of 127 S. 18th St., Escanaba, pleaded no contest to two counts of police officer — assaulting/resisting/obstructing. He was sentenced to 12 months jail and given credit for 73 days served. Starnes was placed on probation for 24 months and ordered to pay $976 in fines and costs.

Roy Allen Hubbard, Jr., 25, of 1520 Ludington St., #401, Marinette, Wis., pleaded guilty to a count of controlled substance — possession/analogues. He was sentenced to 90 days jail and given credit for four days served; the sentence was suspended for one year, and will not have to be served if he complies successfully with terms and conditions of probation. Hubbard’s driver’s license was suspended for 30 days and restricted for 150 days, and he was ordered to pay $68 in fines and costs.

Paul Joseph Klutts, 24, of 206 Wisconsin Ave., Gladstone, pleaded guilty to a count of operating while intoxicated and a count of attempted assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault). He was sentenced to 90 days jail and given credit for 10 days served; the sentence will begin on Oct. 2, 2020.

Klutts was placed on probation for 24 months. His driver’s license was suspended for 30 days and restricted for 150 days, and he was ordered to pay $958 in fines and costs.
