ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently bound over from Delta County District Court to circuit court in unrelated cases.

Bon Stephen Lemerand, 33, of 605 S. 9th St., Escanaba, was bound over on the following three counts: controlled substance – possession of meth/ecstasy, a 10-year felony with a maximum fine of $15,000 and license sanctions unless sentenced to more than one year in prison; controlled substance -possession/analogues, a two-year felony with a maximum fine of $2,000 and license sanctions unless sentenced to more than one year in prison; and retail fraud – third degree, a 93-day misdemeanor with a fine of $500 or three times the value/difference in price of property stolen, obtained, or attempted to obtain, whichever is greater. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on or about Dec. 31, 2018 in Escanaba. Lemerand’s bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety.

Shannon William Amon, 36, of 6442 L.5 Rd., Escanaba, was bound over on two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or by strangulation, 10-year felonies with a maximum of $5,000 for each count. The charges stem from a incident that occurred on or about Jan. 1, 2019 in Delta County. The bond was set at $10,000 cash/surety.

Jason Ray Ansell, 44, of 15712 Vans Harbor Rd., Garden, was bound over on the following seven counts: license documents/plates – forgery, a one to five-year felony with a maximum fine of $5,000; police officer – fleeing – fourth degree – vehicle code, a two-year felony with a maximum fine of $500 and the Secretary of State suspending the license for one year; motor vehicle – operation without security, a less than one-year misdemeanor and a maximum fine of $500; operating – license suspended, revoked, denied, a 93-day misdemeanor with a maximum fine of $500 and vehicle immobilization; license plate/registration/title – unlawful use, a 90-day misdemeanor with a maximum fine of $100, unless a commercial vehicle then $500; alcohol – open container in vehicle, a 90-day misdemeanor with a maximum fine of $100, community service, and substance abuse screening; and operate – unregistered vehicle, a 90-day misdemeanor with a maximum fine of $100. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on or about Jan. 5, 2019 in Garden Township.

Ansell posted his $7,500 surety bond.

Rebecca Ashley Nichols-Zimmer, 29, of 1309 1st Ave. N., Escanaba, was bound over on one count of operating – while intoxicated – occupant less than 16 – second or subsequent offense notice, a one to five-year felony or probation with 30 days to one year in jail with a maximum fine of $5,000, 60 to 180 days of community service, rehabilitative programs, cost of prosecution, reimbursement to government for emergency response, expenses for prosecuting defendant, and vehicle immobilization mandatory.

The charge stems from an incident that occurred on or about Jan. 5, 2019 in Escanaba. The cash/surety bond was set at $15,000.
