AAUW to hold picnic

ESCANABA — The American University of University Women (AAUW) will hold a picnic July 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the pavilion in Ludington Park. Members and guests can bring their own food and drink. After the meeting, attendees can enjoy the concert at the band shell.

AAUW is open to men and women holding an associates degree of higher. Founded in 1881, the organization is globally recognized for its advancement of equality for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, July 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. Live music will be provided by Ron Jay & the Country Strangers. There is a cost at the door and a free-will donation lunch will be available
