MARSP to meet at Little Nugget Clubhouse
MENOMINEE — The Menominee County Chapter of Michigan Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, June 9, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Road 338, in Carbondale, Mich. Registration is at 11:30 a.m. CDT with the luncheon served at noon. There is a cost for the luncheon.
The program will be presented by Larry and Dan from Westland Bus Tours. They will discuss upcoming tours and travel accommodations.

The Compassionate Friends meeting set
ESCANABA — Anyone who has had a child die in their family is invited to attend the Thursday, May 26 meeting of the Bay De Noc Chapter of the Compassionate Friends. The meeting is held at 7 p.m. in a third floor meeting room in the First Presbyterian Church, located at 819 First Avenue South in Escanaba. The meetings are normally held on the fourth Thursday of each month except in November and December.
Compassionate Friends is a nonprofit, self-help, bereavement support organization for families that have experienced the death of a child. When a child dies, at any age, for any reason, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, a brother or sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family.
If you have lost a child, grandchild, or sibling, you are invited to join the group for the meeting.
