Mid-week activities ­canceled at First

GLADSTONE — First Lutheran Church is canceling all mid-week Lenten services and soup suppers. The church will attempt to make all mid-week services available on YouTube. In the search box, type “First Lutheran Church Gladstone” to find the church’s YouTube channel and all recent streaming events will be available.

Also canceled are Tried-N-True and Love Circle meetings scheduled for March 19; the Tried-N-True meeting scheduled for March 20, and the April 18 WELCA Spring Cluster.

Salvation Army social services available

ESCANABA — Social service assistance from the Salvation Army is available 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the Community Services Building. The Soup Kitchen is open noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
