ESCANABA — An undocumented immigrant from Mexico has been arrested in Escanaba by a Sault Ste. Marie Station agent. According to the U.S. Border Patrol Detroit Sector's announcement Wednesday morning, the subject was charged in Minnesota with domestic violence, obstruction and felony drug possession in April. Border patrol has announced additional charges: alien inadmissibility, alien present without admission and immigrant without immigrant visa. The individual is currently being processed for deportation.
MENOMINEE – A kayaker was found dead on Green Bay following an overnight search operation. At approximately 7:37 p.m. on Friday, the Menominee City Police Department received a report of an overdue kayaker. The individual had launched a kayak into the waters of Green Bay near Veterans Memorial Park that morning and had not returned as expected, according to a news release.
