WELLS — A lane closure at the U.S. 2 and 41 bridge over the Escanaba River will be taking place today.

According to a press release issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation Thursday afternoon, the current westbound lane of U.S. 2/U.S. 41/M-35 will be closed at the bridge between 9 a.m. and noon to remove a temporary concrete patch and place asphalt.

Traffic in the area will be maintained under flag control, and motorists should drive with caution and be prepared to stop.
