House fire in Kipling

Firefighters head into a residence at 9228 Bayshore Drive in Kipling after the homeowner returned to find an upstairs room black with smoke. Emergency services from Brampton, Gladstone, Escanaba Township, Masonville, Rampart EMS and Michigan State Police responded to the call shortly after noon Tuesday. Firefighters called for assistance from other agencies after they discovered smoke coming from the home’s eaves.
