Esky Pops back for spring semester

ESCANABA — The Esky Pops is an all-volunteer singing and instrumental group that performs contemporary music in Escanaba. The group is always looking for new members ages 16 and up to join the fun. There are no auditions needed to join the group, and although a musical background is helpful, it is not required.

Rehearsals for The Esky Pops are once a week on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Central United Methodist Church: 322 S. Lincoln Rd. Escanaba. The spring semester of the Esky Pops will begin rehearsals on Thursday, March 21. The group will accepts new members through April 4, but encourages interested participants to contact them via email at theeskypops@gmail.com or on their Facebook page.

Some of the featured songs the group will be singing this semester are; Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Judy Garland, Rise by Katy Perry, I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston, The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel, Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen and many other pop and rock favorites.
