“The boys played good baseball (Wednesday),” Esky coach Brandon Gagnon said. “We came out of the gates quick and scored a couple of runs in the top of hte first. I thought that set the tone right away.

“Jayce Braun pitched an excellent game. … His command on the mound really kept the boys fired up throughout the game.

“Everyone battled at the plate in this district tournament. Couldn’t be more proud of hte boys, and hopefully, the energy and effort will carry into next week down in West Branch.”
