Road races Sunday

ESCANABA — The 38th Annual Slip-Sliding-Away five-mile run takes place here Sunday at 2 p.m.

Registration begins at 12:30 at Harbor Towers. Participants should use the 5th Street entrance.

This will be the Yooper Cup debut which includes a one-mile race for the first time.

Entry fee is $3 in advance or $5 on race day. Phone registrations at the lower rate will be accepted through tonight.

Trophies will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in the five-mile event. Ribbons will be presented to the top three finishers in each age group in both races. Refreshments will be provided for all participants.
