Robbins steps down as Superior Central boys hoops coach

EBEN — After a year of coaching the Superior Central High School boys varsity basketball team, Harry Robbins has submitted his resignation.

The Superior Central Board of Education accepted it at its July 20 meeting, according to a statement from the school district on Monday.

Robbins took over the team last summer as the Cougars posted a 4-16 record during this past winter.

“We thank Harry for his time at Superior Central,” SC Superintendent and K-12 Principal Bill Valima said in a statement. “As the junior varsity coach in 2018-19, his team won the conference championship. We know stepping away from the program was a difficult decision for him.”

The school district has begun its search for a new coach.
