Jets bounce back, top Cougars
POWERS — The North Central girls scored five in double digits here Thursday night in a 75-21 basketball rout of Superior Central.
Andie Arsenault led the Jets with 16 points and seven assists in the Skyline Central Conference affair. Chloe Webber and Bree Arsenault scored 11 each and Jaiden Fleetwood and Hailey Pavlat had 10 apiece. Fleetwood also collected four steals.
“Everybody got to play and they all played well,” said Jets coach Lee Vincent. “We passed the ball well tonight. This was a good game to have. We hustled a lot better after the (49-25) loss at Carney-Nadeau (Monday). We played well as a team. We had a lot of layups.”
The Jets (8-4 overall, 8-3 league), who host Bark River-Harris Monday, committed just five turnovers.
Elizabeth Molag scored eight points for the Cougars (1-11 overall, 0-9 SCC), who won the JV contest 40-38. They host fifth-ranked North Dickinson Monday.
