Braves’ bowlers win
ISHPEMING — The Gladstone boys’ bowling team picked up a victory here Saturday, topping the Menominee Maroons 32-8.
Gladstone swept the baker games 127-123 and 159-119 and match-play games 838-798, 811-745 and 846-809. The Braves also posted a season-high 2,781 series.
Sophomore Ryan Neumann rolled a season-best 219 game and 550 series while winning two of his match games. Junior Andy Fisher added a 544 series. Chad Britton and Nate Highsmith also won two of their three matches.
Greyson Jones was Menominee’s leader with a pair of 216 games.
The Escanaba M team topped a shorthanded Gladstone X team 24-16.
Esky took 2-of-3 in match-play (472-394, 386-402, 386-360) and split with the Braves in baker games (110-75 and 99-101).
Gladstone’s leaders were sophomores Nick Frappier, Dominick Servant and Darren Albrecht who won 8-of-9 match-play games.
