Robert’s rules and regulations

EDITOR:

Liberal columnist Robert Reich wrote how the GOP used to favor and legislate for less government, but how today they favor more laws that do not reveal the ‘less government’ story. He sees their ‘government intrusion’ everywhere.

Like….laws limiting abortion (saving lives), laws restricting mask usage by kids — so debatable still, laws limiting the teaching of backward Critical Race Theory and glorifying Black Lives Matter skullduggery. Legislation forbidding transgenders from participating at an advantage in opposite sex sports and their desire to use whichever facilities they want — this week.

He writes: “This is not limited government, folks. To the contrary, these Republican lawmakers have a particular ideology, and they are now imposing those views and values on citizens holding different views and values.” Geez, Robert. The Democrats are on record forever for passing laws and regulations on every aspect of our lives since that Party’s inception. If the GOP is “big government on steroids,” the Left is quadruple that. I think they patented that “Don’t remove this label on all mattresses.” Their current policy of regulating business and more is smothering.

He continues writing…..“Today, Republicans have no coherent view. They only want to be re-elected. Even if that means misusing government to advance a narrow (yes, not the broad, big Democrat) increasingly (patriotic) set of values”— you know, the kind that contradict Hollywood, East Coast elites, the bully Left Coast California, the liberal UN and the freebies for everyone crowd–while raising taxes of course.

Let’s hear it for congressional term limits.

He closed his editorial with the following: “The Republican Party now poses a clear and present threat to the values it once espoused.” No, Robert, it is just finding its roots and firing up its base who are tired of being bossed around by the elitists and educators who think they know what is best for us, a PC agenda that is ruining our country, you know, those who riot, protest, shout down the opposition, and with Big Tech censor whatever or whoever disagrees with them and their agenda. I invited Robert to a debate, but he was too busy supporting the administration’s southern border policy, relishing the Afghanistan withdrawal and not wearing a mask to his latest gala. One of Robert’s New York State Assemblyman colleagues is running on a platform to get rid of the police and empty the prisons; good luck with that.

Robert is always concerned about the working man and how they get jilted. Maybe he should donate more of his $5 million net worth to the proletariat to even things out. He garners between $2,400 to $40,000 per hour to lecture. Spare us, Robert.
