Explanation about DATA
EDITOR:
Mr Grant wrote a letter recently claiming that DATA bought vans to “compete” with the cab service. That is not right at all. The reason why the vans were purchased has everything to do with cost effectiveness. Yes. The vans are used to go to the outlying areas where a larger bus might not be needed. Also when we had that Easter snowstorm this year, DATA was running the vans until the roads were clear enough for the buses to get through. Simple explanation. Just have to ask and you will receive an answer.
