Walter R. Kahl

Walter was born March 26, 2005 in Marquette, Mich., the son of April Kahl and Justin (Andrea Smith) Nedeau. Walter attended Rapid River Area Schools where he participated and excelled in football and basketball. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Walter also loved his scary movie collection and listening to rock music. Hanging out with his dogs Lucy and Waylon were one of his favorite things, right alongside going fishing with his Papa Len and camping with his family.

Walter is survived by mother, April Kahl of Gwinn, Mich.; father, Justin (Andrea Smith) Nedeau of Rapid River, Mich.; two brothers, Beau and Zane Nedeau; one stepbrother, Odin Rygh; one stepsister, Madison Lewis; maternal grandpa, Robert Kahl; paternal grandparents, Jodi (Len) Nedeau of Rapid River, Mich.; aunt, Sara (Uncle Lucas); uncle. Jordan (aunt Karissa); great-grandma, Mary Kahl; step-grandparents, Debra and Charles Smith; and numerous cousins.

Water was preceded in death by maternal grandma, Marilyn Kahl.; Nina and Len Nedeau, Kathy and Howard Hebert.

Family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 19, from noon until 3 p.m. at the Rapid River American Legion. A luncheon will follow. Burial will take place at the Rapid River Cemetery.
