Thomas ‘TJ’ John Richer Jr
NEGAUNEE — Thomas “TJ” John Richer Jr., 29, of Negaunee, passed away on Sunday, Aug 18, 2019, in Marquette. He was born on May 14, 1990, in Green Bay Wis., to Tom and Katie (Perron) Richer.
TJ graduated in 2008 from Bay Port High School and then attended ITT Tech. He was employed with Carrier Construction Services in Negaunee. The most important person in his life was his daughter, Sophia. He loved her with all his heart. TJ loved spending time with her doing anything and everything. His humor was one of a kind that would make anyone laugh. He touched many people throughout his life with his humor and laughter.
He is survived by his daughter, Sophia Richer, and her mother, Rebecca Cox; his parents, Tom and Katie Richer; a sister, Nicole (Tyler) Romback; paternal grandfather, Lawrence ‘Sonny’ Richer; maternal grandmother, Donna Perron; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many extended family, friends and his wife, Sarah Lynn.
TJ was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Kathleen Richer, and maternal grandfather, William ‘Bill’ Perron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, at Holy Family Church in Flat Rock with Fr. Francis Dobrzenski officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the Fr. Matt Hall.
