Ludington Street construction is well underway. At the city’s monthly construction informational meeting Wednesday night, Officials confirmed that construction on the section of Ludington street between 14th Avenue and 16th Avenue will not begin until June, when local schools have let out for the summer.

“Construction is really happening, things are taking shape,” said City Water Superintendant Jeff Lampi, describing the project as, “a lot of controlled chaos.” Lampi noted that crews are solving problems as when they come up, and if anyone has any issues, “reach out — call us.”

DDA Director Craig Woerpol also assured the public that businesses downtown remain fully open, though the project has made front-door access more limited.

Starting at $3.50/week.
