Fall by the Lake Shore

Ilsa Minor | Daily Press Fall officially started Wednesday and with it came cooler temperatures. Some of the earliest changes in fall color in the local area can be found near the lake shore, like these yellowed leaves seen Sunday near the Escanaba municipal dock. While fall color may be a welcome site, many will be happy to know the temperatures are expected to remain above average for this time of year throughout October, according to the National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center. However, there is a 33-40% chance of above average precipitation in the same period, so outdoors enthusiasts and shutterbugs should take advantage of the good weather when they can.
