Volunteers place food baskets into cars at a recent event in Escanaba which gave away food baskets to help area veterans. The week of April 18 is National Volunteer Week. National Volunteer Week is a time to recognize volunteers and also to seek out ways residents can help make the community a better place through volunteerism.
