Esky winter parking restrictions start Dec. 1

ESCANABA — Winter parking restrictions will begin Tuesday, Dec. 1, in Escanaba and last until April

During the months of December, January, February, March, parking will be restricted to one side of every street and avenue within the city from 2 a.m. until 7 a.m.

Restrictions include:

Parking will be allowed only on the west side of all streets. Parking will be allowed only on the north side of all avenues.

No vehicle can be parked for more than a half-hour on any street or avenue within the city between 2 and 7 a.m. unless otherwise indicated by signage.

On Ludington Street and the 100 blocks off Ludington Street, parking will be allowed on both sides of

the street with the exception of South 15th Street, South 16th Street, South 17th Street, South 18th

Street, South 19th Street and South 22nd Street.

Parking will be allowed on the east side of the street in the following business districts: 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 blocks of Stephenson Avenue and the 1400, 1500, and 1600 blocks of Sheridan

Road.

Parking will be allowed overnight, on both sides of the street, in the 200 block of Ludington Street.

Parking will be allowed overnight within the median of the 100 block of South 3rd Street.

Parking will be allowed overnight in the 100 block of South 5th Street, on the west side of the street,

pursuant to a permit issued by the city clerk’s office.

People are allowed to park on the south side of 3rd Ave South from South 25th Street to South 26th Street between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The parking regulations will be in effect through March of 2021.
