The No. 3 Well pumphouse at Stephenson Park in Escanaba has a new look following the addition of murals painted by area children that depict each of the four seasons and cover the entire exterior of the building. The 77-year-old pumphouse was painted by homeschool students who participate in the Art Fundamentals class at the Bonifas Arts Center. The effort was led by Bonifas Arts center Artist Jim Finlan — who procured paints and developed the design — Events Coordinator Paula Jordan, and Executive Director Sue Roll. Children left their mark on the building by adding their handprints to the murals.
