GLADSTONE — Motorists and Gladstone residents may face detours as construction workers for the city’s 9th Street Project moves to new work in new areas today.

Oberstar Construction, the contractor for the 9th Street Project in Gladstone, will be moving construction to the intersection of 9th Street and Delta Avenue, under the stop light, this morning. All businesses will be open, however, the Delta Avenue and 9th Street intersection will be closed to through traffic.

Payne and Dolan, which has been contracted for paving for the project, will be paving today through Saturday, Aug. 22. Paving will take place on North 9th Street, Superior Avenue, and the connecting streets and alleyways. Motorists are asked to follow the posted detours and be prepared to stop for construction workers.
