Repair work planned for Cedar River Bridge
CEDAR RIVER — The Michigan Department of Transportation plans to invest about $500,000 to repair the M-35 bridge over Deer Creek near Cedar River in Menominee County. Work on the project is expected to start Wednesday, July 1.
The project — which is meant to increase the bridge’s safety and extend its lifespan — will include partial concrete deck and railing replacement, hot mix asphalt overlay and guardrail. It will require a single-lane closure with one alternating lane of traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals.
The estimated completion date for the project is Oct. 16, 2020.
