New water slide at Gladstone beach

The Gladstone beach was abuzz with activity on a hot Wednesday afternoon. The beach has been open since June 1. It is open with lifeguards present from 1 to 6 p.m., seven days a week. The beach was recently updated with a brand new slide. The previous slide was a fixture at the beach for over 20 years. The new slide was installed Friday after a base was constructed.
