ESCANABA — The City of Escanaba will begin replacing water services along 3rd Avenue North between Stephenson Avenue and North 21st Street starting Monday. This work is due to the upcoming resurfacing of the street on 3rd Avenue North later this summer.

As a result, the eastbound lane will be closed to all traffic and re-routed to 2nd Avenue North one block at a time. The water service work is expected take up to 10 days. The westbond lane will remain open to one way westbound traffic.

No disruption of service or water quality to adjacent customers is expected.

Motorists should expect some delays, and are asked to slow down near the work area.
