Archaeology Fair on Oct. 18 in Marquette

The Marquette Regional History Center will have its 13th-annual Archaeology Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the center, 145 W. Spring St. in Marquette.
MARQUETTE — The Marquette Regional History Center will have its 13th-annual Archaeology Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the center, 145 W. Spring St. in Marquette.
The center is joining hundreds of organizations around the world to celebrate International Archaeology Day. The public is invited to come discover how the Archaeology Fair has grown over 13 years in providing a look at archaeology in the upper Midwest region and worldwide.
This open house-style event will offer hands-on learning opportunities for all ages. Multiple booths both indoors and outdoors will feature various displays and activities.
Cost is regular museum admission: Adults, $10; seniors and military, $8; students, $4, including college students with I.D.; ages 12 and younger, $3; Museums for All EBT cardholders, $5 for adults and free for children age 17 and younger.
The center encourages all to join in this celebration of archaeology and the thrill of discovery.
