HARRIS — 38 Special will give two concerts in the Island Showroom next spring performing their iconic rock songs from the 80’s and beyond. Concert dates are February 28 and March 1, 2025. Tickets are $50 and went on sale Thursday, September 19.

The Gold and Platinum album artists had twenty Top 40 songs on the US Mainstream Rock Chart from 1980 to 1991, a legendary rock era that still beat strong in the hearts and minds of many. With sales in excess of 20 million, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance,” and more – Timeless hits that remain a staple at radio, immediately recognizable from the first opening chord, and paving the way to their present-day touring regimen.

For 38 Special, being onstage is a celebration of camaraderie and brotherhood, a precision unit bringing the dedication and honesty to a long history of classic songs, as well as surprisingly fresh new material.

38 Special band members are Guitarist/vocalist Don Barnes, bassist Barry Dunaway, drummer Gary Moffatt and keyboardist/vocalist Bobby Capps. The most recent addition to the band is legendary virtuoso guitarist and vocalist Jerry Riggs.
