Big Bay Pathway hosts fundraiser
BIG BAY — The 33rd Honey Bear Classic celebrates the Big Bay Pathway with a nine-day fundraising event for all ages and interests. This year for the safety and comfort of pathway visitors we are holding a hybrid event. The event kicks off on Saturday, February 5, and runs until Sunday, February 13. The extended event allows participants to enjoy the trail during the week and /or join the in person Honey Bear Celebration taking place on Saturday, February 12 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. At the trailhead there will be a bonfire, camaraderie and a weenie roast. Participants can choose to ski for fun, self-time, or snowshoe for a chance to win door prizes. Registration for the event is online, or in person for the live event. All proceeds help to support the grooming and maintenance of the Big Bay Pathway which is part of the Noquemanon Trail Network. Donation/registration envelopes are also available at the trailhead.
