Escanaba library starts summer reading program

ESCANABA — “Tails and Tales” is the theme for the Summer Reading Program 2021 at the Escanaba Public Library. Children five years and older are invited to participate by filling out a reading log. Children younger than five can join the “Read-to-Me” portion of the program.Summer Program events begin the week of June 14. They include Lunch with the Munch Bunch on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. Children bring a sack lunch to be eaten out on the patio, then have a story time.

The Special Guest Program on Wednesdays is at 2 p.m. Guests will include a Service Dog from the Public Safety Department, a guest from the Animal Shelter, a craft program with Pasqua Warstler, Sidewalk Chalk Drawing around the library, and Jamming with Lorne. Grab and Go Bags will also be available at this time.The Summer Reading Program is a service of the library and it is free to the public.The Summer Reading Program concludes on July 16.
