GLADSTONE — Delta County residents who heard explosion-like noises Tuesday weren’t dreaming.

Shortly before 3 p.m., the Michigan State Police Gladstone Post announced the State Police Bomb Squad out of Grayling would be conducting controlled explosions in the northwest area of Delta County. All appropriate personnel were on scene.

Residents were advised there was no need for alarm and not to call 911 to report the explosions.
