Coffee fundraiser for prevention groups
ESCANABA — Upper Peninsula Communities That Care (UPCTC) has coalitions in eight counties of the UP working to prevent risky youth behavior like substance use and depression. For the month of March, you can support the CTCs by purchasing gourmet coffee from Up North Roast, a small business in Escanaba. Their home roasted coffee is available as whole beans or ground.
“Our CTCs are grassroot coalitions made up of parents, professionals, and other community members,” said Gery Shelafoe, prevention consultant and founder of UPCTC (previously known as UP Coalition Network). “The money from this fundraiser will help strengthen evidence-based programs in the Upper Peninsula.‚”
You can purchase coffee at https://upnorthroast.com/upcoalition.html. Learn more about youth-focused prevention and the CTCs at www.upctc.com. Individual coalitions are funded by NorthCare Network.
