New online help service, Zoom with a librarian, available at the Escanaba library
ESCANABA — Do you need help downloading e-books or audiobooks? Help navigating the library’s digital resources?
Like to learn more about searching our online catalog and placing holds? If you have questions, we have
answers and our new online Zoom service allows you to interact with us in a new way with audio and video
from the comfort of your home.
Patrons can contact the library by phone at 906-789-7323 or email at epl@escanabalibrary.org to schedule up
to a 30-minute Zoom conference. Staff will schedule an agreed upon date and time and send the patron an
email with a meeting invitation link which will take them to their “Zoom with a librarian” meeting. Patrons will
need an email account and meetings will be scheduled during the hours of 9 a.m -5 p.m. You can access the
Zoom service if you have a computer, tablet or other mobile device such as a smartphone. If patrons need
assistance getting set-up to use Zoom, they can schedule an appointment with staff in the library. We can help
you download the software you need and steer you to online tutorials that will make you an effective Zoom
user. In-library appointments are still available for those seeking help in person.
